Food

Indian vegetarian food is served at the canteen in the campus, at a reasonable rate against direct payment.

Dress code

The Students are expected to appear in modest dressing both in the campus and Apartment, preferably Indian. It is preferred that students wear thick cotton dress that covers their hands (up to elbows) and legs (up to ankles). This dress would help the student to fit into the Indian culture. Eg. For Ladies – Chudidars; and Gents - Pants and shirt.

Mode of payment

One time payment in advance either by Cash or DD in favour of “Arsha Yoga Vidya Peetam Trust, Coimbatore .

In both the cases, receipt of payment will be acknowledged.

Refund of Course Fee

Once the course commences there will be no refund of fees. If a student informs his / her inability to attend the course 30 days prior to the commencing date, 75 % of the fees will be refunded; from which bank charges and other expenses etc will also be deducted. The value of Indian currency at the time of payment will be taken into consideration.

OR

If any student is not able to attend the course as scheduled, the same should be informed in advance and he/she can attend the same course at another time within 1 year with a prior notice of 3 months. In such case, any revision of fees or refund will not be applicable.

Medium of Instruction

Medium of instruction is English

Method of Teaching

Theory and practical classes will be given separately. Students should take notes in the class and have to develop it as a material for own purpose. Video presentation will also be there.

Theoretical sessions include lecture mode, audio-visual mode and discussion mode. The practical sessions cover demonstration and hands-on practices.

Course Material

A course material in English designed on the basis of original scriptures in Sanskrit will be supplied to all participants. The classes are conducted in separate modules to cover the entire topic.

CDs on Yoga and Ayurveda therapies are provided.

Classes

Classes will be held for five days in a week from Monday to Friday. Saturdays, Sundays and any other declared holidays will be off-days for the students. 6-7 hours classes will be held in a day. Timely changes will be made in the daily schedule as of our convenience.

6 weeks and 3 months courses do not cover the theoretical lessons of Yoga.

Certificate

A course completed certificate will be issued by the end of the course by the institution on the following conditions:

Attendance Should satisfy 80% attendance during the course period
Performance The overall performance should be satisfactory
Discipline Should adhere to all the rules and regulations of the institution
    pertaining to the course

Nature of recognition

The courses conducted by Arsha Yoga Vidya Peetam Trust are non-formal and not recognized by the Government of India.

Health

Students who apply for the course should be medically fit.

Study Tour

Students will be taken for a short study tour to the Medicine Manufacturing Unit and Herbal Garden.

Any Indian national with knowledge of English language and an aptitude for learning
